KEYPORT FOOD PANTRY

So many are experiencing great difficulties during the health emergency. The Keyport Food Pantry is really in need of food to give to those folks who are out of work and unable to feed their families. Our congregation can help. Plastic bins will be placed outside the double doors facing the DRIVEWAY where you will be able to place your donation of food. Because there are a few bins placed there…the bins for food donations will be clearly marked. The pantry is specifically asking for cereal, pasta, pasta sauce and canned vegetables. You can donate anything but they are running low on these items. You can also drop these much needed items off at a Sunday drive through. Thank you in advance…I know you will all help.

Bayshore Lunch Program

This group has been part of our church for many years. It started out in Keansburg and moved to our present location in Keyport. The volunteers work together on the third Wednesday of each month. Meals are prepared on site. Lunches are nutritious and have differed through the years from London Broil to chicken parmigiana sandwiches with fruit and salad. In the past years, one of our team members plays the piano while the meal is being served. Lots of smiles even through masks!
Interested volunteers please contact Esther-Lynn Ciprich or the church office for more details.

2021 MUMC CROP Walk

The MUMC CROP Walk took place at our church on Sunday, October 10. On October 17, there was a celebration to collect checks and cash, have a food collection (rice, beans, peanut butter and soup), see the art contest, etc. at Red Bank Regional HS.

As of noon on Oct 20th, the team has raised $2435 of our goal of $1500! Team Choir had 103 pounds of peanut butter with Team Praise Band having 66. Other donations of 14 pounds of rice/beans/soup were also received.
The food gathered will be shared between Goodness Now and Keyport Food Pantry. Many thanks to those walking/raising money for the hungry in our area!
