2026 Commitment Cards
We invite you to prayerfully consider your commitment to God through your time, talents, and treasur in 2026 at Middletown UMC. As we grow in love and generosity together, we help pass on the rich legacy of this community to the generations to come.
We begin to collect it on November 23, 2025. You may submit your card by placing it in the offering plate on Sunday, mailing it to the church office, or filling out the online form.
Nights Before Christmas
Join us for Nights Before Christmas — a special Advent series designed to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. Each week, we’ll gather around the table for dinner, fellowship, and various small groups for all ages. Together, we’ll slow down amid the holiday rush to reflect on the hope, peace, joy, and love that Christ brings into our lives.
We offer it on Wednesdays, December 3, 10, 17, 2025, 6-7:30 pm
All are welcome — bring your family and friends!
Coat Drive
Goodness Now will be collecting new and clean, gently used coats to distribute at their 12/5 Friday Evening Food Pantry. Coats can be put in the box in narthex before worship on Sundays, or outside by the blue doors during the week.

Cookie/Gingerbread House Competition
The Bridge Builders are hosting a cookie/gingerbread house decorating contest!

Cookies and piping bags will be provided.

If you’d like to build a gingerbread house, we ask you bring your own materials. There are a lot of great kits out there!

There will be a light dinner and snacks.
Please register so we have enough food and cookies for everyone.

The Light, The Dark, and the Battle Between
A New Zoom Bible Discussion Series Beginning December 3rd!
Light and dark are powerful images in both the Old and New Testaments, including in the teaching of Jesus Christ – contrasting God’s way and what is good, with what is against God and what is sinful or evil. Jesus describes his followers as “the light of the world,” and calls them to be “in the world but not of the world”; and “to seek first the kingdom of God,” and to pray that “God’s kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.” Let us study together what the Bible reveals about the light, the dark, and the battle between, to increase our personal Christlikeness and to advance God’s kingdom on earth!

Youth Retreat
We’ll be headed to Refreshing Mountain, PA January 23-25, 2026 for a weekend of fellowship, sports and games, sharing stories and worship! Talk to Cindy for more details. Serve in Worship!
We’re looking for volunteers to serve as liturgists in worship — helping lead announcements, Scripture readings, or parts of the service. This is a wonderful way to use your voice and gifts to bless our congregation.
