Pastor Jisun reflects on the many ways to celebrate Palm Sunday, involving the waving of palm branches and shouts of Hosanna (save us)! In the gospels we are told that the people laid down their cloaks to make a carpet for the king - the messiah who would deliver them from Roman occupation. They expected a crown of power but Jesus chose a crown of thorns, and rode a donkey, not a war horse, showing humility, not military power.

Pastor Jisun asks: What does Jesus mean to me? Do I understand that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life? Do we truly know Jesus is the Prince of Peace? Take time to reflect and find your own answers. May God open the eyes of your heart. Wherever we may find ourselves on the journey, I hope and pray that we discover our answers to the question "Who is Jesus" and realize that Jesus gives us healing and mercy and forgiveness. Holy week invites us to look again at the people God has placed in our lives, at the quiet ways God is at work, and as we see Him more clearly may our lives respond with surrender, trust and love, crying out Hosanna, Lord Save Us!
