God said "I will make a way in the wilderness; I will make a stream in the desert."
Perception requires trust. Trusting that a stream will show up in a desert.
Renewal does not mean escape. It means discovering God's presence in an empty wilderness. The danger isn't that God isn't active - the danger may be that we only look for God where he used to be.
We don't need to see the final destination - we just need to trust the one who is the way.
God promises renewal, not by erasing our past but by leading us beyond it.
